I love the idea of seeing Europe like this. No airports, no constant packing and no racing between cities: just wake up somewhere new, get off and explore, then wander back on board for dinner. I’d choose it for someone who likes the ease of a cruise but doesn’t really see themselves as a “cruise person”.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Amsterdam → Rhine Valley → Alsace → Basel I’d add a couple of nights in Amsterdam before the cruise, then travel slowly up the Rhine towards Switzerland. If you have longer, carry on into the Alps rather than flying straight home.
