WHY IT MADE THE COLLECTION

WHY IT MADE THE COLLECTION

Tella Thera represents a different kind of Cretan luxury, rooted in the landscape rather than imposed upon it. Built partly into the earth, planted with native species and centred around thoughtful food, slow living and furniture handcrafted from FSC-certified wood by a carpenter just 7.3km away, it feels completely at home in the Canopy Collection.

THE EXPERIENCE

THE EXPERIENCE

Days here are deliberately unhurried. Wake to views across the hills and Bay of Kissamos, linger over a plant-forward breakfast, explore western Crete or simply retreat to your enormous suite and private terrace. There is a magnesium pool, sauna and botanical treatments at Thaleria Spa, while Anemoia celebrates seasonal Cretan produce, much of it grown or sourced close to home.

Hayley's Take

hAYLEY'S TAKE

I love hotels that make you reconsider what luxury actually means. Here it isn't about excess. It's space, brilliant food, beautiful natural materials and the feeling that everything has been thought through. I'd stay long enough to have a completely lazy day here as well as getting out and exploring western Crete.
