WHY IT MADE THE COLLECTION

WHY IT MADE THE COLLECTION

There are hotels with a view of the Pitons, and then there's Jade Mountain. Just 29 individually designed Sanctuaries sit high above Saint Lucia's coastline, each completely open on one side to the Caribbean and those dramatic peaks. Twenty-four have their own vast infinity pools, but it's the architecture, bold, eccentric and designed entirely around the landscape, that makes this one of the Caribbean's true originals.

THE EXPERIENCE

THE EXPERIENCE

Wake with the Pitons filling the missing wall of your Sanctuary, swim before breakfast and then head down through the 600-acre estate to Anse Chastanet. Snorkel straight from the beach, sail beneath the Pitons, hike through rainforest or visit Emerald Estate to see cacao growing before turning it into chocolate. Come back for sunset above the Caribbean, dinner beneath the stars and a final swim in your private pool.

The Missing Wall

The Missing Wall

Each Sanctuary is completely open on one side, dissolving the boundary between bedroom, infinity pool and the Pitons beyond. No two are exactly alike.

Sail Saint Lucia's coastline, snorkel the reef directly from Anse Chastanet or hike Gros Piton for an entirely different perspective on the island.

Hayley's Take

hAYLEY'S TAKE

Jade Mountain isn't subtle, and that's exactly why I love it. The Sanctuaries are completely bonkers, but all that drama is really about opening the room to one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Caribbean. I'd absolutely choose one with an infinity pool, spend a few days barely leaving it, then balance that with sailing, snorkelling and exploring more of Saint Lucia.
